04/09/2003 - ARBOmedia will become official member of the EGTA, starting May 1st 2003

Munich, April 3rd 2003. ARBOmedia, the independent, pan-European advertising sales house, will, with all of her subsidiaries, be an official member of the EGTA, the European Group of Television Advertising starting on May 1st 2003.
The EGTA is a trade association based in Brussels. It gathers 40 sales houses and/or commercial departments, on behalf of some 100 television channels spread across 26 European countries. Founded in 1974, it represents all concerns of TV advertising. It acts as the conversational partner with the European Commission and with the international Union of the advertising industry. Its goal is to administer an intensive exchange of views and ideas among its members, to act for their interests towards the European advertising industry and to lobby on political and corporative level.

"The EGTA membership is an important step for us, on our path of becoming the leading independent TV marketer in Europe. We expect a fruitful cooperation with all market participants, especially with our public broadcast partners in Europe" says Dr. Georg Bogner CEO, ARBOmedia AG.

EGTA Secretary General Michel Grégoire: "With ARBOmedia becoming a member, the EGTA welcomes a very important group. The European advertising landscape needs pan-European commercial networks such as ARBOmedia in order to develop the "electronic advertising" business at a European level. In addition, ARBOmedia will represent three acceding countries, which is another form of contribution to building up the extended European single market."
