04/17/2002 - ARBOmedia AG achieves large breakthrough within advertising sales marketing in Western Europe

ARBOmedia acquires 60% of the Spanish TV and Radio Sales Marketer RMB DI-VERSUS
Doubling of turnover through the involvement with RMB DI-VERSUS for the Year 2002, to approx. 125 Mio. EURO in comparison to 63. Mio EURO in 2001.
Take-over secures the ARBOmedia AG with clearly positive EBITDA for 2002.



Munich, 17.04.2002 - ARBOmedia, the leading independent advertising sales marketer for TV and Online in Europe announces the largest take-over in company history.

With the purchase of 60% of the Spanish TV and Radio Sales Marketer RMB DI-VERSUS (RMB ESPANIA RADIO Y TELEVISION DI-VERSUS, S.A.) shares, the ARBOmedia AG has an additional sales volume of approx.. 55 Mio. EURO and thus increases the turnover expectations by 100% to 125 Mio. EURO for the current year in comparison with 2001 (63. Mio. EURO).
Up until now, the Munich based company had expected an increase in sales of only 25% to 80. Mio. EURO.


ARBOmedia, market leader in Central and Southeastern Europe, takes on a significant share within the Western European advertising market through the takeover of RMB DI-VERSUS and has thus taken a big step in the direction of becoming the pan-European market leader. The company will be renamed "ARBOmedia DI-VERSUS". The chairman of the board is José Monserrate, who has 40 years experience in the advertising sales market and was the former chairman of the Spanish company Movierecords.

The 60% of company shares were until now held by the European advertising sales marketer RMB (Regie Media Bèlge S.A.). The remaining 40% of shares belong to the Spanish company "Di-Versus Publicidad S.L.", a part of the multimedia advertising group "Gruppo Di-Versus", that concentrate their operations on bus-advertising, billboards and airline-advertising.

RMB DI-VERSUS markets advertising spaces for the public TV-station network FORTA, that has an audience share of approx.. 17,4 % in Spain. In addition to these 10 regional TV-stations of FORTA, the company exclusively markets the channels TV Galicia and TV Castilla-La Mancha as well as the local advertising window of Canal Sur. Within the sales marketing of radio, the company markets advertising spaces for the stations Radio FORTA, Radio Gallega, Canal Sur Radio and Canal Fiesta Radio.

Dr. Harald Albrecht, managing board of the ARBOmedia AG: "This portfolio provides ARBOmedia with an ideal supplement for the European sales marketing business, since Spain is seen as the most important "emerging market" in Western Europe . With the opening up of the Spanish advertising market, this furthermore provides ARBOmedia with interesting opportunities within the area of online sales marketing."

RMB DI-VERSUS at present employs approx. 50 employees and had a turnover of 50. Mio EURO in 2001.
Besides the headquarters in Madrid, the company maintains offices in Barcelona, Sevilla and Santiago de Compostela. The responsibilities of CEO are performed by Leo Farache King.
