08/14/2002 - Strasbourg, August 19, 2002 ARTE STARTS MARKETING OFFENSIVE

Strasbourg, August 19, 2002
Parallel to its expansion of cable feeds, ARTE is also extending its offer for sponsors in Germany and has entrusted its marketing program in the German-speaking areas to ARBOmedia, Munich. At the same time, Ziel:Marketing, Stuttgart, has been given a contract to acquire advertising for ARTE TV Magazin, the television channel's monthly illustrated magazine. " We want to open ARTE in a targeted but cautious way to sponsors and are looking for partners who want to want to be associated over the long term with one of the top names on the European television landscape," said ARTE Marketing Director Paulus G. Wish.

In an increasing number of states in Germany, ARTE has started broadcasting in the cable network at 2:00 P.M., instead of 7:00 P.M. as had been the case. Parallel to this, ARTE in Germany has also started taking sponsors that want to reach an exclusive audience. Its marking partner for the German-speaking areas is ARBOmedia, Europe's largest independent marketer of broadcasting stations. "With ARTE we get a renowned television station. The exclusive target group of ARTE viewers offers our customers a unique alternative in the TV landscape," according to Stefan Völcker, Managing Director of ARBOmedia Germany.

The advertising marketing for ARTE TV Magazin was reorganized at the same time and has been turned over to Ziel:Marketing in Stuttgart. "ARTE TV Magazin is one of the most successful public television magazines and has great marketing potential," according to Rainer Zielke, the owner of Ziel:Marketing.
