04/29/2008 - ARBOmedia AG focuses on online marketing and achieves a growth of over 100%

By readjustment, ARBOmedia AG profits above the average on the growth of the Central and Eastern European use of the internet

Munich, 29th April 2008. ARBOmedia AG has selected the correct strategy with international grouping of the online activities by ARBOinteractive and is profiting from the readjustment. Alexander Sigl, Manager of Marketing, Sales and New Business at ARBOmedia AG, stated: "We have been able to achieve a growth of up to over 100 percent in some segments and assume that this growth will continue in the coming months.

With ARBOinteractive, the strategic partnerships in the area of marketing, e.g. such as the operation of platforms, and the development of Pan European budgets will be distinctly easier. Therefore ARBOmedia AG can participate more than average in the growth potential governing the area of the internet in Central and Eastern Europe.

Already in 2007 the first successes were achieved in the operation and in the marketing of a social online platform in Germany by participation in a joint venture with the friendship network "goolive!". The objective was also to take part in the durability development of the platform. Alexander Sigl added: "Due to the fact that we were able to achieve such good success with goolive in Germany, we intend to establish localized versions of the platform this year in Poland, Rumania and the Czech Republic".

Also in the area of display marketing, ARBOmedia AG, with Hi5 in Rumania, was able to open an exclusive partnership with one of the most successful and largest social network platforms in Eastern Europe. Further partnerships are planned in this segment. Alexander Sigl continued by saying: "We assume that in the display segment, our growth in turnover and profit of over 100 percent from the previous year can be continued".

According to the estimations of the pertinent institutes, the growth potential is distinctly positioned above the other media. Such as, for example, a prognosis from ZenithOpitmedia, publicised at the end of March 2008, states that the promotion expenses in Central and Eastern Europe will almost double for the period from 2006 to 2010. Alone in the online area, the share of the promotion expenses will increase from 6.7 percent in 2006 to 12.3 percent in 2010 thus corresponding to an expense increase of 38,085 million US dollars.
